The majority of global emissions, over 70%,  are induced by household consumption, not only through the use of electricity and fuels, but also the consumption of products and services. Considering current consumption levels, people in many developed countries would have to cut their lifestyle carbon footprints by about 80 to 90% or more, and some in developing countries by between 30 and 80% within the next 30 years. This session will discuss how our consumption patterns must change in order to meet challenging CO2e reduction goals.
